The Purpose
Susanne Baker has been in the paper making business for more than 30 years. After not being able to find the perfect ingredients and materials in stores, she decided to create her own. She acquired her skills at the University of Alabama Book Arts program by learning traditional book arts techniques. Susanne likes to make books from beginning to end. Her book arts creations begin with her making the paper to the printing, using letter press techniques and then finally binding the edition. Her purpose is to pass on these skills to other book lovers through her classes. She also provides materials to those in need of any book arts products. When she is not providing these services she is making one of a kind artist’s books.
More About Fibernacci Press
What we do
For those who are interested in learning book arts techniques from Susanne, she provides group and one on one classes in which the materials are included.
For those who are interested in her products Susanne can make your paper making dreams come true, from handmade and printed invitations to one of a kind pieces of art.
Our story
Long story short. She has gone from a book worm as a child to working as a librarian and making books for her whole adult life. She lives and breathes books.
Fibernacci press
Fibernacci Press is colorful, pulpy, and mathematically correct, or not really, but she tries. Fibernacci Press represents the process of book arts from start to finish, completely handmade and authentic. She has learned the traditional techniques and made them her own.
Our mission
Susanne has a passion for all aspects of book arts. Her mission is to keep the art of the book alive by sharing her knowledge and skills as well as products to fellow handmade book and paper lovers.
